“With our deepest gratitude, the Board and Staff of the Kateri Native Ministry would like to thank Tony Solomon of Mukwa teepees for guiding all the volunteers in putting up our teepee. It looks so beautiful and majestic on the land that boaters slow down to see. I was honoured to be apart of the ceremony and sit and listen to the many teachings of creation and the differences of worldview.
It was hot and sometimes difficult however, the many hands and efforts helped make this sacred space a reality.
We did ceremony and feasted in the teepee with grateful hearts. Miigwetch to everyone. I can’t name them all as some arrived in the morning and some arrived later in the day. I drove out to Naataagaama yesterday and it is truly a beautiful sight.”
